If you thought CES® 2026 would slow down by day three, think again. Energy remained high as crowds surged through showroom floors, greeted by a dazzling lineup of tech that felt straight out of the future. Robots strutted their stuff, AI companions charmed attendees and cutting-edge health tech promised longer, healthier lives. Day three was all about big ideas and bold breakthroughs with high-profile sessions featuring senior U.S. government officials, top CMOs, content creators and investors.
Inside Washington: Hot Topics in Tech Policy
One of the most talked-about sessions was Inside Washington. Attendees got a rare chance to hear directly from senior U.S. government officials in one-on-one, policy-focused conversations. Dr. DarÃo Gil, Under Secretary for Science at the U.S. Department of Energy, shared insights on innovation and energy. William Kimmitt, the 17th Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, discussed global trade dynamics. And Dr. Ethan Klein, the U.S. Chief Technology Officer, offered a peek into the future of tech policy from the White House perspective.
CTA Executive Chair and CEO Gary Shapiro also sat down with FCC Chair Brendan Carr for a candid conversation on how the agency is navigating the rapidly changing tech landscape.
SME Showcase: Advanced Manufacturing Takes Center Stage
The Advanced Manufacturing Showcase, a new partnership between CTA and SME in the LVCC Central Hall, was a hub for cutting-edge production tech. From automation systems to advanced materials and industrial software, the showcase highlighted how U.S. manufacturing is evolving. Attendees connected with top innovators and explored tech that’s transforming the way we build.
Physical AI: The Robotics Revolution
Robotics continue to stay in the spotlight at CES 2026. This year marked a major shift toward robots designed not just for function but for improving quality of life. All week, attendees have been wowed by the latest Atlas prototype — a humanoid robot that feels like a glimpse into the future. Atlas walks with a confident, fluid stride, boasting 56 degrees of freedom, fully rotational joints and tactile-sensing hands. Hyundai Motor Group, the majority owner of Atlas’ creators, Boston Dynamics, plans to use Atlas in its car plants in 2028, with a longer-term plan to build a robot factory that can ship 30,000 robots a year.
But it wasn’t just the big names making waves. Frontier-X introduced Vex, a small mobile robot that follows pets and records video using onboard AI. And crowd-favorite Tombot returned with its robotic puppy, designed for companionship and emotional support — proof that robotic pets are still winning hearts.
Celebrations and Mixers
The day wrapped up with some incredible networking opportunities. The CES Foundry Celebration featured Grammy Award-winning artist and AI inventor will.i.am alongside Fast Company’s Harry McCracken in a session on How AI Can Be More Inclusive. Afterward, attendees mingled at a lively mixer sponsored by IBM, JobsOhio, Washington DC, Vector, Wesco, Corning and Strata.
Meanwhile at the Venetian, the Digital Health Mixer, sponsored by National Sleep Foundation, Resmed and Greenberg Traurig, brought together the digital health community, while the Wireless Mixer, sponsored by Asurion and Boost Mobile, in LVCC North Hall connected wireless innovators.
From policy conversations shaping the tech landscape to humanoid robots like Atlas redefining what’s possible, CES proves that innovation isn’t slowing down anytime soon. And with mixers buzzing, ideas flowing and humanoids strutting, one thing was clear: the future isn’t waiting — it’s already walking among us. You still have one more day to see it all. Make a plan for your last day at the most powerful tech event in the world.
